Sultan is a multi-disciplinary artist based in California. Using various mediums like Sculpture, Sound, Light, Film and Virtual Reality he teleports participants to immersive surreal worlds. Through his interactive experiences Sultan encourages participants to explore and play by handing over agency to the participant, he builds stages for stories and moments of magic to be discovered. Through his work, Sultan attempts to deepen his understanding of time, memory, ontological design and the future of storytelling (storyliving).

Sultan has worked with collaborators to show work at Burning Man, Magnetic Fields, Serendipity Arts Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Westbeth Gallery, NYC Media Lab to name a few and has also worked with MTV, Red Bull, Viacom 18.

In addition to his artistic practice, Sultan also works as a Senior Producer at the Digital Immersion Team at YouVisit, where he collaborates with a team of filmmakers, technologists and engineers crafting non-linear immersive interactive experiences connecting people to spaces and stories.

Sultan holds an MFA in Design and Technology from The New School and a Bachelor’s in Mass Media from the University of Mumbai. His work has earned recognition through accolades such as the VR Awards (2020, 2017), Webby Award Honoree (2017), Samsung Creator Awards (2017), FIVARS (2016), Big Mini (2016), Adobe Achievement Design Awards (2015), and The Wildlife Conservation Film Festival (2014).
